BOOK LAUNCH

The launch for Wetlands: Low Country Haiku will be from 6:30 to 7:30 pm on  July 31, 2025 at the Davenport House event space in the old Kennedy Pharmacy at 323 E. Broughton Street, Savannah, GA. There will be a short speech and poetry reading, an opportunity to buy copies of my books, and light refreshments.

You will have the chance to meet the cover photographer, Ed Eckstrand, and the illustrator, José Ray, as well as the author.

No invitation or RSVP required.

ANOTHER NEW BOOK

Yes, yet another new book already! POEMS OF RESISTANCE is much shorter than WETLANDS and was written much more quckly, in emotional response to how things are going here and now.

This is a series of poems reflecting on the issues and decisions we must make if we are to resist effectively.

It should be back from the printer by August.

WHAT IS RUMINATING POET PRESS, AND WHO IS MARC THOMAS?

Marc Thomas is an independent author and poet living in Savannah, Georgia.

After getting to know some independent authors, he has decided to be his own publisher, and has established RUMINATING POET PRESS to do just that, publish and sell his own poetry.

His first two books of poetry were both published through Monte Ceceri Publishers in 2024.

His third book was published in 2025 through his own imprint, Ruminating Poet Press.  It is  based on his COVID poems from his second book and is titled Listening to the Survivors.

All are available through the links on the WORKS page.

You can learn about his HAIKU IN THE PARK project on the page devoted to that.

He is working on a book of haiku, Wetlands: Low Country Haiku, and hopes to release it by this summer.

You can learn more about him at the BIOGRAPHY page.
